Tohunga

Tohunga is a university project produced by eight students over a period of three months. The goal of this project was to create a prototype game and try to “sell” it to the rest of the class. It was a friendly competition between three teams that each had a list of different restrictions. We had to use these restrictions to develop a unique and interesting game idea.

Tohunga revolves around a central mechanic that we call the “interchangeable perspective”. The game is a 2D platformer, but is played on three different paths, and the player must change dimensions (2D / 3D) to complete the puzzles.

I was the team leader for this project and my role was to lead the rest of the team and keep the project on track. In addition to leading the team, I had to write all the documents related to the project, such as the GDD and the oral presentation documents / sales pitch. I also participated in the design of the level as well as creating the environment and I especially rigged and animated the characters.
